REMIL is a ready-to-wear brand founded by Siju Jaiyesimi and Origin in Detroit, Michigan.

Born in 2020, REMIL, formerly known as "Remote Islands," began producing an array of embroidered and screen-printed pieces that represented the world’s creativity witnessed by Siju and Origin. Remote Islands then evolved into REMIL, intending to elevate and rightfully represent this idea. Through their shared lens, REMIL expresses the world’s limitless and an individual’s ever-changing natural or unrealized creativity. Allowing the representation of one’s inner assertiveness and ability to have complete control of one’s creative expression.

Growing up in Detroit was the catalyst that brought Siju and Origin together. They asked themselves, “Where can we find inspiration when it is not explicit or immediate”? challenged by this question, this allowed them to grow their unique view on not only the city of Detroit but also the world. Inspiration and beauty was found in a city where only its inhabitants would understand the fruit in which it holds. REMIL is the macro view of a concept born in Detroit.

REMIL, not only as a brand but also as a philosophy, continues to design luxury ready-to-wear collections that prioritize quality while creating a story with each collection.
